All major search engines offer a Pay Per Click (PPC) service. This allows customers to advertise under certain "keywords" or "phrases" so that they come up with the search results. This is particularly useful for new websites as it allows a brand new website to be found straight away without the usual months of waiting for the search engines to find the site. Most optimisation services can take at least six months to start working effectively, especially for new domain names that the sites have not already visited in the past. Google AdWords
The most popular of all the Pay Per Click systems - primarily due to Google's popularity. You set your maximum bid price on the search engine and you come up in the list according to the price you are willing to play for each "click". You don't pay for your advert to appear on the Google search results - just when someone clicks on your advert and is taken to your website. We can either manage the whole service for you, or you can give us access to your own AdWords account and we can make changes directly - whilst you remain in control over the spending limits etc.
Adverts appear on Google and AOL web searches, plus any sites that use Google AdSense (you might see the "powered by Google" logo underneath search results that are not directly on the Google website.
Yahoo Search Marketing (formally Overture)
We have in the past also managed accounts within the Yahoo Search Marketing system. This works in a similar way to the AdWords system, but with the adverts appearing on the Yahoo and MSN websites only. It can work well if you advertise on both systems.
